Got started when I went to the rockwall with a friend my sophomore year of college, wasn’t long before I was addicted to climbing. Started working at the the same rockwall teaching people how to belay and making sure they were safe and worked at the city adventure program leading rock climbing trips.
There’s no other feeling quite like leading a climb, working a problem or taking a fall. I am really happy at the thought of all the future climbs and areas to travel to for climbing. As of now I have climbed mainly throughout North Carolina, some in New River Gorge area and a little in Mexico. There are a lot of places still on my to climb list. Expanding on this goal to get more experience in aid climbing and one day big wall climbing.

from over-gripping. Nice class today, definitely got a workout. But honestly I was frustrated at my lack of strength, particularly in the hands/fingers.
Well, that which does not kill me, only makes me stronger :)

So.
Let me push against gravity for a while.
Thanks Molly, my dear.
I need to climb this mountain of mine instead of skidding down it on my arse.

Can you tell I am excited for class? 2.5 hours. The first part I think will be a repeat from the class I took a couple of weeks ago, but that’s OK.
Just looking forward to more climbing experience, and meeting some people who have similar interests.

I signed up for the six week course. I really am excited about this. Something new to do for both fitness and fun, on vacations, and in the indoor gym on a rainy day.
Class starts Wednesday!
and no, Hawk, don’t expect pictures :)

and enthusiastic boulderers on Twitter.com and they talked me into trying rock climbing.
I am starting with a 2-hour indoor class to learn the basics. If I like it, then I will sign up for the six-week indoor course. At the end of the course, there is a trip to an outdoor climb in the fall.
I really never thought I would be doing this – but I am all about the adventure :)

I had previously given up on this goal, but put it back on the list because 1) I really want to do this and 2) I’m back to living around the corner from the aforementioned rock climbing centre.
I will definitely try this before the end of the year.
