Study for academic decathalon

mostly because my friends were in it and said it wasn’t that hard and they are going to california if we get in the team. theres a bunch of genius’s in the club, and I have to make a 4 minute speech, as well as study and do tests on a bunch of topics to do with the civil war. I think I can manage it though.

Well, I went through the whole acadec year, and it was awesome. We left in 5th, so not so bad. Too bad I can’t do it next year; no time.

i loved academic decathlon… i was in it my junior and senior year. it was one of the best things i did in high school… the relationships you form from studying with and hanging out with the same people ALL THE TIME are incredible. also, the random knowledge which you’ll pick up almost always shows up in a different way throughout your everyday life. :-)

I just started enrolling in my local AcaDec club, and I’m already like ‘Ungh…’ I was one of 5 frosh signing up, the rest (9 others) are senoirs. Now 3 of them were turned down and the last one quit, so it’s just me v.v

Ah well, I think I’ll study (if I ever get the damn packets…)

The competition is in just three weeks. Do I understand any of it? Have I even read the art section? No sir.

Oh gawd.
