work as an Air Traffic Controller

I’ve always had interest in aviation, and in particular Air Traffic Control. This is a long term goal for me. I thought I’d declare myself early :-)

So I got rated in ground control (GC) the other day. It was my first time controlling an emergency aircraft (flight control malfunction), so that was fun… (everything turned out fine, by the way) I also talked to a helicopter for the first time, too. It’s interesting to spit out “hover taxi” when you’re used to just saying “taxi to runway ##”. But I made it through, now I just have to get my local (LC) rating and I’m a bonafide controller!
