play a piano concerto with a good orchestra

I have performed with 3 orchestras, and it was totally worth it. I’m a teen, and a serious pianist. At least, I think I am.

I reeeeeally want to play Beethoven’s 3rd Piano concerto with an orchestra but it seems I am too old to compete in most of the youth concerto competitions but not good enough to play with a professional orchestra! grrrr… I guess I need to find a community/local orchestra looking for a pianist. Problem is I am near Chicago so there are already a ton of really great pianists I’m competing with…
