Get accepted into Berklee College of Music

i really really want to get in

to any student enrolled,
could you perhaps tell me if taking a music diploma program here in my home city prior to applying for berklee is worth it? can you get in without credentials?

So… to anyone who wants to get into Berklee! I’m a berklee student myself and had to go through the rigorous audition process. The main thing you need to do is show them you are willing to learn anything. Know your prepared piece inside out. I was told by someone that they decide your skill level based on that and everything else is just bonus points they can add on. The ask you improve after you piece and then do a few eartraining exercises, maybe they’ll ask some scales. It’s actually a really laid-back audition, the faculty is really really nice about everything.

Just practice a lot and know why you want to go to berklee for the interview! Good Luck!
