Amy don't waste a day

subgoal: for 1 week or more, read a book/ day 3 years ago

I have quite a long backlog of books… many of them are short, and many of them I don’t want to read in depth—I just want to scan and familiarize myself with the basics (or come back to them later, following a cursory read). Here are some candidates from my allconsuming list: R. Krumb’s Kafka, Camus’s essays, Birth of Tragedy, J.D. Salinger short stories, James Hollis, Cassandra Complex, Education of Cyrus, Mishima’s short story, diary of Kierkegaard, How to Read a Book, Freud’s shorter works, Heraclitus fragments, Goethe’s Faust, remaining Lemony Snicket.

Goal was originally titled “read more.” Now I have a pretty good idea what to read, but, for various reasons, I procrastinate. I also tend to get in the habit of picking up other books while I’m still finishing another. So, I’m changing this to a more specific goal with hope that this will be a reinforcement against procrastination and the threat diversion places on completion.
