How to go on a missions trip

How I did it: I have now been on two mission trips, and plan on going on another one, either this summer or next summer! I go through an amazing organization called YouthWorks. I went with my youthgroup. The first one was in Booneville, Arkansas, and the second was in Mon Valley Pennsylvania. This summer I have the opportunity to go to Montana.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you get along with the people you go with. My trips were only a week long, but there was lots of drama. It's going to happen, but the more people you can get along with, the easier it will be to work it out.

My church is planning 4 trips in 2009 and is looking to send at least 100 people over the 4 trips to do God’s work. If it is in His will, I will go.

My youth group will be going to Zambia in August ‘09. We’ll be going to work at our sister church’s orphanage. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, so I’m totally psyched!

I actually earned more than enough money to go, yey! :D
So the extra money will help pay for the gas money for all of the cars… xD
I can’t believe this is actually happening!!!!! I seriously think I’ve been wanting to do something like this since I was nine, and now that it’s happening…. wow, I’m so nervous and excited at the same time, ha ha. :)

Just signed up to go on a trip to Canada with my church! We’ll be going August 2-9 this summer. The goal is to visit Pickerel Lake Indian reservation in Ontario and organize a vacation Bible school for the children there! I have to raise a little bit of money for the trip, but it’s not that bad because we’ll be camping and bringing our own food. Plus, the church is donating $100 per person to cover gas expenses. I’m pretty excited about it! Should be a great time to meet new people and show the kids some love! Wish me luck on my fundraising efforts!

The night before i go, though, I know I’ll probably be scared out of my mind!!
Still, I’ll be excited/scared the whole time. It should be awesome. Now I need to get some $$$ in order to go (need about $250 more)
