We were supposed to visit the Met on my high school art club’s trip to NYC, but for some reason we couldn’t. We did get to drive by it though… not quite the same :-( 2 years ago

I really want to spend some time there and see as much of it as I can. 4 years ago
It was huge and because its New York and I went in October, it was really f’n cold outside. They have a free coatcheck, and since it is a public museum you don’t actually pay admission, you pay a “donation” which is “suggested”, but in reality, you can just not pay, or just hand over one penny.
There’s so much art and it bombards you at all angles, that by the end of the day you’re exhausted from looking at so many pieces. Things are larger than life though. In fact, Stewart’s Washington’s Crossing into Trenton is HUGE. I was in shock and awe. Other included this Assyrian statues that protected the city that were massive. Overall, it was amazing, but definitely wear comfortable shoes. :) 4 years ago
