not swear so much

I’m almost ready to call this one accoplished but I still let it rip when I’m mad mainly when driving. I’m sure I won’t ever be able to cut it out completely but I still need to cut it back a bit or atleast be less creative at it. 2 years ago

I am getting better about swearing, I’m definately more conciencous of it at any rate. I can’t quite call this one accomplished until I can do better while driving as well. I’d also like to cut a few specific words completely out of my vocabulary. 3 years ago

I take pride in it. I”m doing well in school, I’ve got great friends who understand, and this has only helped me.

What I usually do is use a replacemnt word/phase (Dang, what in the world? (or just simply what?), and so on.) 4 years ago

I find that I usually curse when I remember how someone treated me. My cursing is usually by myself, rarely in front of others. It is also as a result of frustration. I have to find other satisfying ways to say “To hell with someone” without cursing 4 years ago

Yeah, I used to swear all the time because I didn’t really care.. But now.. I sorta care. Why do I say those words? So people think of me as trash? Hell no.. I don’t want that. I will still say what I want to say.. But elegantly, not trashy. kthnx. 5 years ago

I can barely say a sentence that doesn’t have the word fuck in it. When I get angry I say so much I can’t remember what all is said. 5 years ago

I still swear when the situation permits it – joking & stuff.

For a while I was getting very foul mouthed – Ron even commented about it. But I’ve improved. It took conscious effort at first, but now it is no big deal. When I do swear – I realize I did it and I stop. 5 years ago

Once in 9th grade I told a boy to “Shut the hell up” well in driver’s ed. This won me an overnight suspension, two day of in school suspension and a 2 page paper on “Appropriate Language For A Young Lady” to be turned in to the Assistant Principal.

Yeah, never wrote that paper and I’ve been swearing up a storm ever since. I know how horrible swearing sounds and how people think I can’t use my words, but it’s become more of a habit than a way to really express myself in a moment and that sucks. 6 years ago

most would agree that i have developed swearing in to a passionate artform. however, i went on a sailing trip in may and one of the older women on the boat had a very foul mouth. it was so un becoming and completely ignorant that i wanted to distance myself from her as much as possible. so, i have begun to limit my profanity. Now i am trying to make it more simplistic. use it only when there is really no other alternative to getting my point across. which can be quite often. 6 years ago

You sound so unintelligent when you cannot express yourself w/out being obscene. Since having kids I am ultra aware of how ignorant and ugly profanity sounds. I dont swear around my kids and it just seemed unnatural after that to use profanity any other time. 6 years ago
