maintain a sex-worthy home

I’ve had this goal in mind for some time too. Brilliant that someone created it here!

This weekend I managed to keep the apartment in a generally good state. Did the laundry, made the bed, had no clothes flying around in the bedroom, vacuumed everywhere, and kitchen and bathroom looked fine, too. Did it help? Hm, my man was away for the week, but my friend decided to stay over after too much wine on Saturday night (she slept on the bed sofa, which was by that time covered in peanut shells). Now, of course she was not who I had in mind. But sex with the real object of my desire followed on Monday morning. I’m not kidding myself here: It would have, no matter what the place looks like.

I may have to do quite a bit more. To maintain a sex-worthy home when under the strains and stresses of everyday life demands more than just cleaning, right? The bedroom should not be cluttered with stuff that reminds one of one’s “to do” list. No tax declaration documents, dirty laundry, paintings that still need to be put up. And I’m thinking of silken sheets and strong colors, candles, a mirror…

Completing this goal wasn’t really my choice. We are preparing to sell our house so I had to make my room ready to show. Threw a lot of stuff out, put a few things in storage and just got the rest of my act cleaned up. Its weird to make my bed every morning but I really enjoy coming home to that made bed. So while my sex life is severely lacking, if opportunity were to arise I would be prepared.

This past weekend I finally cleaned my bathroom. It no longer looks like it’s located in a communal residence housing 15 drunken frat boys. :)

therefore I am…wait, wait. I think I may change this to ‘Maintain a sex-worthy home’ since that’s probably my base and I do mean ‘base’ reason for cleaning any part of my house. :)

My room is not very sex worthy right now. Tomorrow I’m making it a mini goal to clean!

and assuming you can get someone to come over and the sheets aren’t crispy with dried DNA and there is counter space aplenty with the dishes all tucked cleanly into their cupboards with visions of sugar plums dancing through their heads and there aren’t disgusting floating things in the bathtub and toilet…it’s nice…a little love nest…

But you must attract someone to venture forth…another and different goal no doubt…

It is as sex worthy as it is going to get…

Since all of the refurnishing in my other goal (rearrange my apartment) is linked to coffee, drinking, work and sex, I will mark this off when that is done. Sex is the leading factor there, too. ;-) But I will list all further work there, unless it is particularly kinky.

Now we’re redoing our home office into a room that we can use for watching movies (on a new LCD TV). This lets us get better furniture in other rooms. That should help with this goal. Our furniture is currently limiting our options…
