What is highly irritating is that I have a collection of Dicken’s novels just sitting on my shelf staring at me, and yet I don’t seem to be able to pluck up the courage to tackle even one of them. What amuses me highly is that i find his introductions fascinating, but then can’t seem to immerse myself in the actual novels themselves.
Grrr.

When my mum died in 1993 I inherited a complete set of the books written by Charles Dickens. They have ben on my bookshelf for the past 9 years, untouched and unread. They must be read, that’s what books are for!
