Road trip across the US

U.S. Highway 20 is the longest road in the United States. It runs from Boston, Massachusetts to Newport, Oregon for a total of 3,365 miles.

The farthest west I’ve ever been is Cleveland. I want to go west!

This is an amazing experience. When I graduated from high school my dad and I drove from Michigan south through Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and west through Texas and Arizona and Colorado to California and then back up north through South Dakota and Minnesota back to Michigan. I think we hit 19 states in a little over three weeks, seeing family and friends and major landmarks along the way. There’s nothing like stopping at roadside diners and parking at random gas stations to make your own sandwiches and seeing one state turn into the next and how different they are. It’s the one trip I’ll never, ever forget!

I want to take a road trip across America. I have a bit of wanderlust and I guess right after I graduate would be a great time to get out on my own and see the country.

last year i roadtripped from Niagara Falls, Ontario to Lake Louise, Alberta…a very beautiful 4000 km! this spring im hittin’ the US! so pumped. im spending 2-3 months on it..living outta my car and seeing everything i can.

I’ve done it halfway and back in a weekend…but I’d totally want to take my time with this.

Road trips rock! I took my 5 yr old daughter and 16 yr old brother and drove from Michigan to San Diego, CA. We drove thru the Rocky Mountains, Vegas, Tijuana Mexico etc. I’m doing it again next month. We drank water and bought food from grocery stores to avoid eating out and spending all our cash. All you need is a good car, emergency cash and enough energy to keep driving.

I would like to start at West Quoddy Head, near Lubac, Maine and finish at Cape Alava in Olympic State Park in Washington.
