I am counting this done because, well, I figured out my major and I don’t see myself changing that for at least a few years. So, unless I decide this ISN’T what I want to do… I can put it back on the list if that happens I guess.

I think that I’ve figured it out! I’ve been thinking about this pretty much nonstop for a week, and while a week is still a short period to take to make a lifelong decision, I still have years to change my mind. This, like most things, can be changed. It’s like paint. You can always paint over it. I’ve decided to go into Marketing. There’s always going to be a need for people in that field and there’s a ton of things I could go into. Besides Marketing, I’m going to minor in graphic design and photography. I’m actually really excited because, for the first time in my life I really think this is a plan and a good plan at that. I could be something someday yet.
I want to find something to do that I truly wouldn’t mind doing for years. I’m not sure that this is possible. I want to do many things and I’d hate to do just one thing for so long, I’d feel like I’m wasting something in me. But all that being what it is, I’d like to find something to major in that perhaps I could do all those things I’d dreamed of doing with.
I finally decided on getting an associate in the arts. Now just have to figure out what i want to do at ASU.
Im only a freshman…well, sortof. i went to college a year early, but im really anxious to find a major. I would love to do sculpture however, my parents would be less than thrilled at the thought of me being a starving artist for the rest of my life. plus i tend to change my mind a lot….like a few weeks ago it was graphic design and before that it was history….plus ive never actually taken a college-level art class….or a highschool level art class for that matter.
I am the type of person that pets a dog and think, oh I want to a dog groomer/trainer and then 2 seconds later I walk into a restaraunt and I think, ahh I want to own one of these someday.. problem is I start college in the fall and still have no major or any clue on what I want to do even after taking a year off to figure it out..
I don’t have too much of idea what exactly to major in. I know that I don’t want to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, scientist..
etc.
I don’t really think that a person basis their career off of their major. (with the exception of the obvious ones: doctors, lawyers. haha there I am bringing those up again).
I was thinking Anthropology…Cultural. I don’t necessarily want to be an Anthropologist but I think that it would be a good choice because it would provide me with a solid education based on People. I love people…and even if I went into business, it would be good to have a background in anthropology..
Okay, that’s all for now.
I’m on my third major of my college career. Started as computer science, then switched to accounting, and now economics. This major feels right though… I hope.
