Epistemologist Studied japanese all day and did my history homework, a productive day

soda is the devil 1 week ago

I drank like 3 different things of soda yesterday, I had lost my wallet the night before and then my water bottle leaked out in my backpack and ruined everything! I was extremely stressed and pissed at water (lol) so I bought a soda at school.

Well today I didn’t drink anyway and I hope I don’t ever buy more, though now I’ve got a bit of a pang for it. Grr.

I drink way too much soda 2 weeks ago

I’ve cut down considerable since my all-time high of 6 liters a day. Ive been trying to quit soda for months now and I keep binging every few weeks, last night I drank 1 can and ended up going to play pool with my brother and drank a huge jack-in-the-box drink and then a liter when I got home and it was on the counter!

I want to quit. Period. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t want another drop of soda to touch my mouth for at least a year and if then then only on a special occasion, it can be like my wine.

So here’s to the first day of the rest of my non-soda drinking life. I will live off of water.

No More QT soda 2 months ago

Ever heard of the gas station, Quick Trip? During the summer they have a special deal on soda. Thirty-two ounces for forty-nine cents. It was niiice! I could run up there and just grab a quick 32 ounces during one of my fifteen minute breaks at work. I love the carbonation of those soda fountains! Well, now the deal’s over. So though this is sad, now that I am trying to quick my soda drinking, it is a good thing! I’m still drinking soda only three days a week but now I’m drinking two soda cans (24 oz) as opposed to 32 oz.

Getting there.

The Beginnings 3 months ago

My goal is to quit drinking soda entirely but I’m setting a smaller goal to begin with. I’m starting by only drinking soda three days a week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Sunday we had a get together at my mom’s house for her birthday and I had about half a two liter. However, I decided not to have soda on Monday. It was a weak justification but nonetheless, I didn’t have soda on Monday.

Tuesday, however, I got a soda when I filled up the car with gas. I have a discount card that the local high school sells every year that gives you a free soda when you get 8 gallons or more of gas. I couldn’t pass that one up. So now it is Wednesday. I’m sitting here with a full day of work ahead of me and a cup of coffee.

Today will be the third day 3 months ago

So I haven’t done anything terribly impressive. But I feel as though the mental transformation has taken place. I know why I don’t want soda and it is somewhat solidified so that I don’t mindlessly grab one. I should be able to continue with this, it looks good. Been drinking even more water than usual lately too so that’s a plus

Starting now rubberband method 3 months ago

So I’m quitting soda. I don’t drink it everyday, but when I do I usually drink a few. I only drink diet soda, though. I want to stay away from the artificial sweeteners and the bad realationship the soda causes me to have with certain foods. My mother buys the soda, and she drinks a whole lot. So it will be around whether I like it or not.

Often it is easy at first to keep up on a goal, but as time goes by you become less conscious of the goal. To prevent this I am going to use color coded rubber bands for specific goals. The rubber bands go on the right wrist, and if I slip up they go to the left for one day. Then back to the right wrist the following morning. This is to keep me aware, and having it on the left wrist all day is a reminder that decisions have consequences. I will keep a tally by color of how many days I have succeeded. When I reach 43 days straight, I will consider this goal done.

I haven't had a soda 5 months ago

in 12 days! Sometimes I really crave a coke, but I just haven’t been keeping them in the house and on the rare occasion that I go out to eat, I order iced tea. I’ve also been drinking much more water than I have before. I’ve lost a few pounds already and my skin is clearing up.

I’ve quit soda before. My wife likes soda, so I started drinking it again, but I want it gone for good. I know I didn’t drink any soda yesterday, so I’ll call today day two. Lets see how long I go!

i remember learning in school that coke can dissolve a tooth in less than 2 days. i also remember my dad using coke to clean off the gunk from my friend’s car battery before hooking it up to jumper cables. i mean, if coke can do all that, i can only imagine what it’s capable of doing to our insides….

Starting again... 7 months ago

Beginning Monday, I am going to be restarting this goal and hopefully actually completing my 6 months without it. I really need to get into shape before trying to get pregnant so soda has to go. I can’t say that I really enjoy it that much any more. My husband and I shared a 64 oz. cherry coke today and we couldn’t finish it. Honestly, it didn’t taste good to me from the first sip, I just drank it out of habit. So, lets put a stop to this soda thing and try to re-learn our love for water, shall we? :)
