How I did it: I just started running 4 months ago, barely moving on my first 3.5K "run". Since then I've worked my way up to a 10K clinic with the Running Room and entered my first race! Did my first 10K distance and race in 57 min, so a solid start to more distances and races ahead.
Currently I run 3x a week (hills/tempo training Wed , normal run Thurs, longer run Sunday), and cross-train with Yoga 2-3x a week for core strengthening. Read how I did it… 5 months ago

So disappointing. After being ill for a few weeks (and still not 100% well), my husband then started to become ill. :( He started running a fever the day before the race. And then it rained soo hard the day before the race & even more so on race day. And a cold front moved in…
So we did not do this one. :( Gotta plan for another race SOON! 14 months ago

I am supposed to do a 10K on Saturday.
BUT…
I have been battling a nasty cold for almost 3 weeks now. :( I am now on a z-pak from the Dr. I am hoping that takes care of it. I have been feeling weak, having chest pains (d/t coughing so much), and have just felt like I am running at 40% capacity right now.
Praying I feel better by Saturday! I soo want to complete this goal, and do this race I have signed up for.

After doing the 1/2 marathon, this seems almost “funny” to have as a goal. But… I still want to cross it off my list.
I think I may do the 10K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. Still deciding on this, as the hubby won’t be running due to a nagging injury. 18 months ago

Since the Plantars Fasciitis onset, this has been the most I have run. It was not a “comfortable” run nor was it a “fast” run. But I was in motion moving faster than a walk/jog! LOL!
I bought some “heel cups” for my shoes which seemed to help with the affected foot.
I am hopeful that I am getting my mojo back! 23 months ago

And it’s been a challenge for me both physically & emotionally.
I am trying to acknowledge my feelings without dwelling on them, if that makes sense. 23 months ago

And now July is ???
Dealing with Plantars Fasciitis. 3 weeks of it has caused a DRASTIC change to the running schedule. I am still active in yoga 3x per week, but I have not been able to RUN. Just jogging/power walking.
I sure hope this PF clears up SOON! 23 months ago
