I’ve taken this goal off my list. No, I didn’t sell any CDs, but I have in the past, so I still think I’ve done what I set out to do.

Most of mine went to charity. There were a few I was still undecided about, so I kept them. I scheduled another donation pick-up for early next month (with the Leukemia Society), so, if I do decide I don’t want to keep any of these, that’s where they’ll go.

I gave away about half of the “to go” pile to an animal rescue organization earlier this week. The rest will be donated to the American Kidney Fund sometime next week.

I tried to sell about thirty CDs yesterday to that site I mentioned in my last post. They sent me a confirmation e-mail with a quote, which implied that, yes, they wanted my music. I didn’t earn as much as I had hoped for, but I was excited to get something for my efforts.
Today, I get another e-mail from this company, saying that they couldn’t purchase my CDs after all—not one of them! I’m really disappointed, because I have financial problems and little extra spending money. It would be nice to be able to treat myself to some new music now and then.
However, I did schedule a donation pick-up with a local animal rescue group that has a thrift store. I think I might go ahead and donate all of those CDs plus the rest of my unwanted music to them. I’ll also go through everything before then, just to make sure I’m not overlooking any real treasures.

I have quite a few CDs I want to get rid of. Some were impulse purchases; some were recommended to me, but never “clicked”; some didn’t stand the test of time. I see no point in keeping something I never use, and, if I can earn some spending money in the process…
I want to sell as many CDs as possible to Cash for CDs. I’ve had good luck with them so far, and I love having the option of depositing my payment into my PayPal account. That way, I can shop at iTunes or eBay as soon as they receive my music, instead of waiting for the check to arrive. They’re not taking new orders until next month, though. :(
Whatever they refuse, I’ll donate to charity.
