sanjuro75 mainly doing something else
I timidly began to juggle again ( I do the beanbags). I’m on my way to master a move which I felt frustratingly difficult back in the old days: the chops. It happened – as usual in juggling – out of the blue and only after a few attempts. Now I could do it rather smoothly with my right hand. I know it will take a lot of time to master it completely with my left hand, but I’m quite confident I’ll be training in a new move in a few weeks. Wish I could post you a video.

I would love to improve my juggling, but i haven’t had much time to practice of late. Will make more time for it!
I can juggle 3 balls to a standard that i can busk at and do quite a few tricks.
Also i can do a standard pattern with 4 balls.
And juggle 3 clubs, but i can only do one trick with them.
Would love to make a job out of it.
Since I’m not doing anything besides staying at home being a lazy lump for May, I’ve had plenty of time for it. I haven’t quite gotten up to once a day yet, but then again I’ve had a busy week (wedding of a friend, 21st birthday, etc.). Going to a meeting of the Atlanta Jugglers Association helped; I learned a few new things and I’ve been practicing more since then. I couldn’t go last week because of the poor air quality (forest fires to the south…yuck, smoke), but I hope to go again this week. Also helping have been the gifts my family so generously gave me for the aforementioned birthday…I got some beanbags (a little small, might get some of the bigger size), a 3” acrylic, a 73 mm steel contact ball, and some rings. Also, my girlfriend gave me a nice kite poi set. So far the poi have resulted in more bruising than anything, but I almost have one trick down.
Right now, at the start of the summer, I can:
I hope to get a Poi pretty soon, as well as a larger acrylic that will hopefully make CJ easier. Since it’s the summer, though, I’ll have no excuse not to practice more.
I think i can take this off my list now! :o) I can now juggle, balls, clubs, rings, and cigar boxes. Of numbers from 3-5 and in many patterns. Along the way I learned the rolla bolla, contact juggling, plate spinning, and poor unicycle skills. Haha! I guess thats what you get when you go to circus school. Good luck!
This is going to be hard.
I took a lesson at theatre camp, and i could barely do it with two balls.
Yep, definately improving. Getting really into it. Does wonders for Co-ordination, rythm and concentration. Above all FUN!
I learnt to juggle 3 balls a few months ago, and it opened the whole arena of juggling to me. A whole way of learning to move in concert with gravity. The balls are entirely subject to gravity when they leave your grasp. We aren’t subject to gravity in the same way, but gravity still affects us. I want to learn the grace of an object in freefall, and hopefully that will help me to exercise my defiance of gravity in a better way.
I think juggling can help me with that.
