I missed a few weeks and the public pool here is now closed so I feel like I failed this goal. I’ll try again next year! It is easier during the beginning of summer.
How to go swimming once a week
How I did it: I found at that there are women only swimming sessions once a week at my local pool. It is half price and is from 9pm-10pm so I can go and leave my other half to babysit once the kids are in bed.
Lessons & tips: Check out times at your local pool. Look at your week - there will always be time you can fit an activity in, even when you think you are too busy

While I was in New York we spent a few days by the pool and thus I did complete this goal last week. The last time I went the water was freezing when I first went in but I was sun-dried quickly. Later on, the water was the perfect temperature but when I got out there was no sun so I sat there with goosebumps for over an hour before we ate.
Kevin and me went to High Point on Saturday. I was so cold that I started to laugh hysterically. I enjoyed digging my feet into the sand at the bottom of the lake. We went for two dips in the lake.

Last weekend it was the YMCA pool, this weekend the beach!! —- (But I think I do more floating around like a jellyfish than actual “swimming”.) Surprisingly fun & relaxing to do something with my body, just paddling around in the water with no thinking involved at all.

...but I had four ear infections this year already, so I don’t know if it’s a good idea. I should get information about how to protect my ears from water while swimming.
no excuse for me not doing this considering that the uni pool is free for me to use and I only live about 5 miutes away. The problem is getting the motivation to go on your own. I might find a friend to go with me :)
OK so I went again today…..
It’s been seven months. Maybe once a week is a little unrealistic for me. I’ll go again in a little while and re-evaluate this goal.
Well I’ve been swimming for the last two weeks but this week I was feeling a bit low and off colour and didn’t bother. Regretting it now, but we’re going away for the weekend and there’s a pool so I’ll make up for it then.
I went today. Swam ten laps and spent some time remembering how to float. Feels good.
