While we were on our mini-vacay, we checked out a store that has many different breeds of puppies. It was SO fun and hard to resist playing with them all! Although they didn’t have a Boston Terrier, they did have puppies that were part Boston Terrier and part Pug, and they were super cute and good-natured! The puppy we held didn’t bark once and had features like a Boston Terrier but different coloring. I could totally be happy with this mix!

I really really want a dog! I really want a puppy but my conscience keeps telling me to adopt a dog from a shelter, which I will probably do. I’m just waiting til I can afford a dog and everything that comes w/ it.

My husband and I decided mutually on getting a Boston Terrier instead of a Mini Pin :D Their coats are easy to maintain and the biggest plus is that they make good family dogs but are also protective. Since we are thinking of starting a family in the not so distant future, I really wanted to ensure that the kind of dog we get won’t be too “yappy” or unsuitable around babies/small kids. My husband also likes the breed! We’re hoping to get our dog a few months or so after getting our house :D

I go walking at Town Lake (Ladybird Lake?!) I see tons of people walking their dogs.
I wish I could join them in the Supercool Dog Owner Club. And yes, I know being in law school is not the time to have a dog.
But,
when is?!!

Since we’re in the process of buying our house, and its got a good sized yard, we are talking about getting a dog in time! I am so excited :D We have been thinking of getting a Mini Pin since it’s small enough to enjoy the yard, matches our energy level, and has short hair which will be low maintenance and work well with our hot weather. I can’t wait! We’ll probably wait a good 6 months to a year once we move in, but it will be worth the wait :D

So today’s our 1st full day with the new dog and she is making an impact. For starter she has decided that a section of the basement is where she should pee. They told us she was housebroken, perhaps she is confused.
So, with the idea that she is confused, I keep taking her out almost every hour hoping she will do her business and I can praise her, and she will get the idea. Well just before we were to sit down for dinner, I take her out again… still nothing.
I bring her in the house and when she stepped inside I take the leash off her… now I was still outside and the door was open… well soon as leash was off she shot between my legs, past me and like the wind… gone!!
I proceeded to spend the next 45 minutes… with no jacket or gloves, the sun is setting and it is getting colder trying to get her back… well after totally exhausting me running all over the neighborhood, me putting myself between her and any car that came our way and into just about all of my neighbors yards….she runs back up to our deck where my son let her in.
I’m ready for a nap.

team up and every Saturday to bring dogs that are in 11th Hour’s care down to the store in the hopes of finding them a home.
Today, a 2 year old Shepard Mix named Daisy, joined our home and I think she will fit in nicely.
Edit: We just talked to the woman who fostered her for 11th hour… and the name Daisy is one she only had for 3 weeks. So, we decided to change her name to Guinness as she has the colors of a good Black & Tan
