swim with manta rays

the manta ray it the most beautiful creature on the planet to me. along with humans of course. :P

i would love to swim with these amazing beings. people always talk about dolphins and whales, but i believe mantas are just as amazing. if not moreso.

(hard to believe i joined this thing years ago and haven’t written a bloody thing in it.)

well, here’s the news….

when i made this goal, i was terrified of the ocean. i have since become obsessed with it. when i am under stress, or am grieving, i turn toward the ocean for comfprt, and have been making trips out to visit it for comforts. i am comfortable now, being in the water, not knowing exactly where the bottom is, not knowing what it in there with me….

and when on these trips, io tend to stop in at the state aquarium and spend time with the rays, petting them for huge blocks of time, and marveling at how the feel like jello.

next stop, learning to snorkle?
