Living In God's Exquisite, Miraculous Sufficiency hasn't had time to be on 43T. Been busy with life.
Did this with my kids this past July at the Phoenix Zoo. It was fun.
How I did it: Went to Virginia for Nathans 23rd birthday. Did not think it would snow in March. Saw snow fall for the first time & almost skid off the road in the car. Scary experience.
Lessons & tips: Wear appropriate shoes for snow

A couple of months ago it snowed in McComb FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFETIME.
Okay, not entirely true, but the last time I was so young I couldn’t remember it. Woke up before the sun was even up to watch it, got to play in it, build snowmen, make snow angels, throw snowballs – we even just piled up a huge pile of snow just to jump in.
We got soaked, and it was freezing. Power was out for a few people, too – and our gas heater at home went out. So it was cold, but completely worth it.
It snowed again a week or two ago, actually – and it’s been quite warm, believe it or not. This week it was an average of about 70 degrees fahrenheit. The snow only stuck on cars when it did, but it was fun driving around it in, and dancing. You could hear it lightly touching all the leaves and trees around. Just amazing.
i stay in south africa where it doesnt snow!!
well atleast not in my part of the country :(
Well the snow is fading, so last night, while drunk on cider, I played. And I played hard.
It was the middle of the night, and I slightly recall making a snow angel and a snow-penis. [And I’ve just heard a guy got fined £80 for making a snow-penis yesterday so I turned it into a weird looking snowman]
Playing in the snow is so much fun, make snow angel, make a snowman and have a snowball fight! Aaaawww! It’s all great! I just wish it would snow here…:P
lob is enjoying 2 weeks of time off from activities...
mark this DONE for life. Though my youngest son still loves to play in the snow.
Because I grew up in New York. It snowed a lot there and I would build snow men and snow forts, and loved snowball fights. Ironically, I hate skiing though. I stink at any sport that doesn’t allow me to wear sneakers. You put any fancy footwear on me and I turn into a spaz.
yakuza who has missed me?
I grew up around snow and it’s one of the most unique substances out there. Each snowflake has it’s own shape, it falls from the sky, must be kept cold, turns into water, can be packed into many forms and the list goes on and on!
I can’t WAIT for it to snow here!
when i was a child, i used to dream of so much snow that i could tunnel through it. Now of course, as an adult, I consider all the work, cold and traffic issues, but I still love playing in the snow.
