Ice Cream is such a treat – but here’s a good reason to have it in moderation. When looking up the calorie content one lazy afternoon – I learned that my indulgence was about to cost me 500 calories – and that wasn’t filled with candy and additional sugar – it was grahm cracker, carmel and apple pieces with pecans. Good ice cream – bad, bad, bad choice. A better alternative….the kids portion and skip all the add ins, one is a perfectly nice compliment.
I’ve started to believe everything that looks and tastes so good, comes with a tremendous price. That, plus starbucks at 400 calories a pastry and 300 calories a drink could kill even the most idealistic of supermoms trying to do better. (sugar free syrup, non fat milk, nothing out of the starbucks case, occassional treats vs. weekly stops – all about the choice!) Plus, at the cost of $5 each on average – there are so many other things to spread your calories out on! Enjoy on small spoon at a time!
When you pay over $10 for two ice cream cones, something is wrong. It’s a great concept, but way too pricey.
Charlie is moving forward, one day at a time.
However, I do recommend tipping the scoopers. Whenever they get a tip, they sing songs about how much they appreciate your tips.
I like to go into my Coldstone, not getting any of their assy ice cream, throwing a buck in the jar and shouting “Sing, bitches!”
At least, I would like to do that…
I love ‘making’ my own creations! But be careful: those portions are a bit on the filling side.
Certainly worth doing, although you can’t eat it often, maybe once or twice a month. But, I do love the stuff! Did I mention that I love Coldstone Creamery? It’s by far the best I’ve ever had, it’s so rich and creamy. Gotta go get myself some this weekend, I think that would be a nice little Christmas gift to myself.
Of course… the freshman 15 could not survive with Coldstone’s Cake Batter ice cream. Mmmm.
There really are NOT words to describe the love affair I have with ice cream….more specifically COLD STONE!!!! It puts a smile on my face when nothing else can. I am like a little girl when I am in that place.
My favorite “mix”.....I could NEVER pick! I love to mix it up with something different everytime. My fave flavor of the actual icecream is probably Sweet Cream, but I could never be certian. :)
Oh gosh, I love this ice cream. Me and the beau went there ALL the time, when we were working in Park City. They started to get to know us, we started to get to know them. Oh such happy times! :)
I need some COLD STONE!!!!!!
