BringMeThunder your breath, your bugs, your bones

I've come to the conclusion 2 months ago

that this will not be feasible for me until my health issues are addressed and my life settles a bit. I’ve been getting close to my goal times for sleeping and waking, but it varies from day to day because of work and school.

And I definitely display the symptoms of Hypersomnia, but I don’t know if my sleep/fatigue problems are psychological (stemming from my depression), purely physical, or a mixture of the two. I suspect hormonal problems, but I won’t likely find out any time soon since I don’t have insurance and therefore can’t see a doctor.

Ah well, giving up on this for now to make room for something more immediately doable.

Came across the term “hypersomnia.” Could this be the source of all my energy troubles? Must research further when I have time.

    Let's see... 3 months ago

The only way I will accomplish this is if I make a plan and then keep track of my sleep times until I find balance. Which means taking into consideration my work/school schedule and my ridiculous insatiable fatigue.

So! Today I slept later than I have in ages, all the way to 11:30 am. Which means tonight will be a struggle to fall asleep early.

    Numbers to aim for:
    Wake up at 9 am
Go to bed at 11 pm (time to read)

WAKE UP! part 2 8 months ago

In addition to cold showers and better cardiovascular fitness, I plan to be in bed between 9 and 11 at night and be up by 7 a.m.

I’ve just been so tired during the day lately…I finally wake up fully by the time the sun goes down, but the fatigue is making it hard to achieve a lot of other personal goals that are only viable during daylight hours.

I plan to use a very small dose of Benadryl to get myself to bed early and then drag myself out of bed at the sound of my alarm. I honestly don’t know how else to go about it. Then once I’ve adjusted to the new schedule everything should be clear sailing. I hope…

    to I’ve done this!!!!

My very cool new Manager shifted me to Dayshift without me having to work a night! Bless her heart! I have not been on days in 6 months, but I recall how nice it was to be in sync with the world. So, benefits to come from this soon, I am sure!
Yay for being awake in the day!

OK so sad 3 years ago

But I’m not sure if I am working 40-60 hours a week for the next couple of months night shift that I can actually get my circadian rhythm back on track, since I am not really even trying and my livlihood depends on me being up in the night.
    So, I do give up…..

I think this goal needs to come off the list. 3 years ago

I just can’t do it if I work nights.
