We’re off to see Mitch Benn and the distractions in November.
Quite funny really as I avoided him before I started dating Grom, but now I prefer him to Bill Bailey. lol
How I did it: Waiting for Godot was the first performance of the year. We didn't realise Simon Callow was in the cast until we saw him walking through Great Malvern, enunciating.
Fantastic performance, marred only by the poor accoustics of the theatre and the almost unbrearable heat. I don't think I'd got to Great Malvern again for a performance, unless it was something equally special.

Jane2009 is writing her list of things to do in 2009.
Going to see Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in Waiting For Godot in March, the Northen Broadsides production of Othello – with Lenny Henry as Othello, so it should be an interesting one! – in April, and Julius Caesar in Stratford in May.

Yesterday I”ve done this, and it was really worth it ! I see Caligula written by Albert Camus. This was not the origimal play I wanted to see, but It was the only one that had still tickets. It was a bit pricey, and before I was thinking this really be worth the money. It surley was. The scene, the acting, the actors, the drama…
It was stunning and breath taking at the same time. I didn”t concentrate much on the dialogue, cause everthing was illusionous and decadent and beautiflly apsurd. The actors were the whole time in a inch deep water, with few clothes on and even naked. Dark tones and images twisted in their reality because of a rubber baloon?! Haha
Anyway, this play reminded me why each time I go to the theatre I fall in love in it all over again.

I used to go all the time. I’m going to check to see what is on locally.
Gone to the West End, Broadway, Vegas, and countless other places. Make sure it’s substantial in production and subject matter.
