I’ve signed up – now all I need to do is register and release books!

How I did it: My mom recommended the website...

Sign up is quick and easy. Fill out basic information, make up screen name (my is underliner due to the fact I obsessively underline parts of any text that I like). I purchased the stickers and am just waiting for them to arrive in the mail.
I've already decided what book I'll be "releasing first." I just have to finish it up first. I'm excited. :)

I bought the book in ecuador, read it on the beach in colombia. so it is only fitting that it gets to travel, too. I left it at the Toulouse airport, in France, on a bench.

This reminds me of the website, Where’s George? but instead of money that’s being sent out, it’s books! I can’t wait to read/finish my copy of Jane Eyre so I can place it somewhere!

I signed up a few weeks ago, and my starter kit is good for 25 book releases. It’ll be a good way to promote reading AND clear out some of the books on my bookshelf, to make room for the books that haven’t quite made it there yet. First book to be released shortly.

I have reinstated this goal as a way of getting rid of stuff from my apartment. Although I technically joined Bookcrossing over a year ago, I will not consider the membership “consummated” (and thus the goal complete) until I have released at least one book. I am hoping to do this in the next week or so. I am planning to release three or four at work, which I think is appropriate since they’re all science fiction novels, and my work is related to spacecraft, which is the basis for a lot of science fiction stories.
Edit: Plus, I think a lot of people at work probably read science fiction.
I’m loving reading many books that I would never have incountered any other way! My Bookcrossing name is lunapilot
