Just paid off 2 credit cards tonight and 2 student loads completely paid off. Oh yeah! Feels good! Only 1 debt more to pay off. I feel disciplined and my overtime and hard work is not going to waste. I’m trying as much as possible to be debt free before I get married. And at this rate, I might be able to do it after all.
How to improve my credit score to 700
How I did it: Half of my paycheck went to paying off credit cards and loans. I started with paying off the credit card with the highest APR, then the second highest afterward, as I was paying the minimum for the rest of my credit cards. I had a dry erase board that I drew bar grafts of my debt on each card and shaded in what I was paying off. On the other side of the board I wrote down my expenses, and found that most of my money was spent on buying food and beauty products and partying. So, I knew where I needed to cut down.
Lessons & tips: Journal your expenses so you know what you're wasting your money on.
Pay off as much of your credit card as possible and shred the card, never use it to purchase again.

Wheeeee! I got money from a car accident settlement and was able to pay down almost $800 of debt in December, which jumped my score up 21 points in a month! I can’t believe I’ve finally made it!

Yay for paying off (some) credit card debt and having my score jump up. I only have 15 points to go.
