Schwinn road bike

It was very spontaneous and impulsive but i decided that i need a new source of adventure in my life and trying a new sport is the perfect plan!!! i’ve always wanted to try road biking (for about 6 years now) so that i have my own bike i’ll totally be amped to ride lots and lots and lots this summer!!

plus, i just finished reading a running magazine filled with articles about how running is bad for you and results in muscle imbalances and repetitive stress injuries (booo!! i love running!) and at least cycling is lower impact. still lots of repetition, but i’ll try and mix in running and biking and yoga and hope that when all is said and done i’ll end up doing more good than harm to my body.

Well this goal is on the backburner…but the slick tires helped my mountain bike! One day…

I went for a short ride last night, straight from the shop to my friends’ house and then to Seward Park and back with them. Yay! But I didn’t realize how bumpy all the roads here are, I need to get some gloves :)

Now I just need to wait 4 weeks for them to make it…

I went to R+E Cycles last Friday and tried out one of their road bikes Really nice, but really expensive…

So I got it, a Specialized Allez Sport, and I LOVE it!

I wanted to start road biking for a long time and finally, yesterday, I bought my first road bike. Riding it feels awesome!

I should at least keep my current mountain bike in a little better shape. I may change out the ties so that it will be street friendly instead of the nubbies!
