Of course that’s the same as learning Soranî (and I don’t intend to master Kurmanci and Zazakî), but I felt lonely, because I’m the only one with that goal so far.
Both my parents are Kurdish Jews, and both Kurnanci and Sorani are part of my heritage. I can speak a few sentences, and have a very limited vocabulary, but I want to learn the language more seriously. I want to be able to speak it fluently, read Kurdish newspapers and books, and hopefully express myself in writing as well.
