the ball is in real life. Granted the crowd is pretty friendly and we didn’t wait all day like most of the people there (we got lucky sneaking through). I definately wouldn’t reccommend it.
How to watch the ball drop in Times Square
How I did it: My family and I go to NYC a few times each year, and one year we just decided why not!? We made our way down to Times Square around noon. We started out under the Toys R Us awning on 43rd and Broadway. As the crowd grew we worked our way up towards 42nd street. We were in the perfect location with MTV studios across the street and one of the main stages right in front of us. Try to stand by the MTV studios because the entertainment is all around you, preformances, interviews, and the ball is pretty close. The time flew by because they are constantly handing out free things or their are performers of all genres on stages surrounding Times Square. I highly recommend this experience to anyone with the slightest passion to do it.
Lessons & tips: Don't drink a lot that day because bathrooms are few and far between. Go with a great group of people. They really do make all of the difference. Dress warm and pack food.
