do a phd

Three years into grad school and I have thoroughly enjoyed with a few bumps once in a while! Done with my PhD courses and exam requirements and now a doctoral candidate.

Putting this on the back boiler too: I have no money and need to work for a year in order to raise some dosh to decide which way to go. I’m taking what Douglas Coupland calls an “anti-sabbatical”: “a job taken with the sole intention of staying only for a limited period of time (often one year). The intention is usually to raise enough funds to partake in another, more personally meaningful activity such as watercolour sketching in Crete or designing computer knit sweaters in Hong Kong. Employers are rarely informed of intentions.” (Generation X P.40)

I registered for my PhD course today. I’ll be Doctor Pandammonium in no time!
