say 'hi' to at least one stranger each day (for a month)

im doing really bad with this
i really need to get over my fears of what people think of me and just go for it
today:

tomorrow:
one person
take it day by day
step by step
easy does it
i can do it!
i just have to try a lot harder…............

i said hi to solana yesterday
she goes to a school near mine
and lives real close!
yay!

but that was yesterday
so i need to find someone else for today before 4:30 because ive got to babysit =)

I had fun with this goal. I am sure I will continue this but as I have had this goal for over a month I will check it off as done. I have had some really great responses from people.

We went into a new store today out of town. My youngest does NOT go outside his comfort zone but…. he totally was waving and saying hello loudly (for him- he whispers alot) to this lady. I didn’t recognize her and she didn’t know my son- but she made SURE to wave and say hello back b/c she didn’t want to discourage him from “saying hi to a stranger”. I felt good about this. Usually you don’t want your kids talking to strangers – but this was cool. Made my day.

Whoa! You can sure tell who the transplants are from the city! Especially on this holiday week. I’ve had some people actually trip over themselves trying to get away from me. All I did was say “hi” in passing.

I think I’ve done this off and on, depending on how much I get out. I thought I could track it by days but that’s hard to do.

It’s nice to be able to say hi. I noticed a lot of people at my college are really open about saying hi. It’s a more rural area though.

At the least, smile.

if I want to do this actually. Sounds a pretty fun & different thing to do, but the fact is that the people who do that on the street where I live are, mostly, like, ageing creepy men !!

Okay I really want to do this but I don’t see as many strangers as I used to since I moved back home. I could just say hi to strangers on the net. Sounds like I’m giving up on my goal doesn’t it? Well I’ll keep this on here for now. Hmmm…maybe I just will try saying hi to people on the net. For every crazy out there there are probably 10 times more good people. I’m not really worried about creepy people online. I’m not their type…lol.

I’ve actually been the one to initiate the “hi”. Woo hoo. As for the everyday part…meh.
