start my own charity

Hey my name is Brittney Adam, and i have always wanted to start my own charity. I love children and read and watch what happens to them over the world. I cant’t watch and read what happens. The children need our help. Working with children who have been abused, have HIV/Aids, disabled etc can change their lives and mine. Making it a world charity we can all make a difference and help everyone out. So please read this and help me out… we want to make a difference and help.

Would love to go out into AFRICA shoot a documentary on how hard things can get and why ome of us should be thankful for what we have. Looking to go out there and be able to say I SAVED THAT CHILD….

I have always loved travelling, I think its so good when you can look back on amazing memories or things you did things you saw and people you met. We take the ability to travel anywhere we want to go for granted.
When I was in Bali I remember telling this really nice guy who was guiding us around the island for the day on his 1 day off for free (we paid for the petrol only)that he was so lucky to live on a hot beautiful island and he told me it is just home to him. He said he could never afford to leave the island for a holiday because the pay is so low and the exchange rate not in their favour.
I imagined how amazing it would be for this man to have a few weeks with his family somewhere completely different, like somewhere with snow! It is maybe a silly idea and I have no idea how I would do it but I love the idea of starting a charity that takes families who work so hard and could never afford a break on a trip of a lifetime somewhere amazing and new to them…. Hmm just a dream!

We help children who have been abused or neglected. We raise money to get them back o thier feet and have a christmas giving week every year. We also celebrate birthday’s and easter.
We want to give the kids somethibng to l;ook forward to and some hope that they have someone and that they’ll be ok. We do ages 0-18

I am 17 years old myself

so i’m helping my surrogate grandma in starting a foundation for abused children. its all based on her book “As Is”. the book is a true story of what she has over come, where she comes from, and how she excelled.
we want to make it available to children in the central Florida area and possible expand it. i’m trying to get started with a corporation that has something like this already but so far have no leads. any help would be much appreciated and volunteers are always welcome! the foundation is called “Hope As Is”.

Creating Positively Loved (www.positivelyloved.com) has been worth every moment. The support we’ve received and all of the money we’ve helped raise for FeLV has been outstanding. I hope we can make a difference.

It was truly amazing. We decorated the childrens playroom with bright colours, helium balloons and bubbles. The children were amazing, the staff were so pleased. They are happy for us to come back whenever (I was quick to volunteer someone else to be santa). There were 23 children, a couple were really ill, some with Leukemia. We enjoyed having the honour of bringing a little easter joy into there world.

I’ve added a photo of me dressed as the Easter bunny. I look a little weird!

Tomorrow I’m going to Gosford hospital to throw an Easter party for the Kids ward. We are doing it through the coffee house. Lucky me, I get to dress as the easter bunny…I’m talking a full white fury suit. Photos to follow…

I’m kind of partnering with the Coffee House to achieve this. I’ll be heading up the foundation side of the business. One of our first community initiatives is coming up in Easter. We are going to our local hospital to throw a party. I local person donated over 1000 chocolate bunnies, so we will ditribute them to the children as well.
