I have almost 4 chapters of my novel written. This is a story I have been working on for years, thinking about and outlining, etc. but this is the first time I have actually written concrete story lines and I’m proud of myself for being on Chapter 4, but also realize it’s time to finish this darn thing!

I have a publisher I have ran the idea by and she is very interested in teh final product so that is super exciting, and as much as I would LOVE for it to be published, I want to finish it for me more than anything. As you may know I love Jon Acuff’s blog and he recently had a post about a band that played the same whether playing for thousands or a hand full of friends. He said they had the same heart and passion. That is what I feel about writing – it brings me joy just to write, to dabble with an idea and write it out even if I don’t ever do anything with it, it’s for me…

But I have put it off and made excuses far too long. I write little notes and ideas down to try and keep my creativity going, but it’s now time to focus and feed my writing passion and be happy :-)

Time to free the writer inside me and make time for her. 11 months ago

I have not been submitting more of my writings, but I have been working on my bigger writing goal project. I am focused on this one project and will finish it (finally). I am hoping to complete it by the end of next month! At least a clean draft. It’s a story I have been working on for years off and on, playing around with the idea, etc. I finally feel I have the entire story (outline) in my head and ready to actually complete it! :) To me this is where I need to place all my creative energy. Make this dream happen, then anything is possible! :) 20 months ago
