Well, at least last night instead of leaving dishes in the sink I rinsed them off and put them in a wash basin to soak over night. That way it kept the sink free for use and I think it is more sanitary to wash them in a basin kept specifically for dishes. 16 months ago

Morning: make the bed, get dressed in bathroom and swish and swipe, grab load of laundry and start it, start computer while making coffee, put on music that is upbeat but not aerobic, dust mop while brewing

Afternoon: Hot spot, emails, dinner prep 27 fling boogie!

TrueFreedomThis is just very sad

I was so excited about starting this that I really did a thorough search of the FlyLady site to get a feel for it. All of a sudden it dawned on me that the positive encouragement and well thought out direction is exactly what I’ve missed out on to a great extent in my life. I saw a stupid pen that said, “I am so proud of you” and I broke down in tears. That is just pathetic. Sometimes I am surprised at the depth of my brokeness. I try to be strong but I am not. My mother was never a real mother to me and I lost someone recently who had been a surrogate mother to me for years. She was my boyfriend’s mom and I always thought she’d be there for me in the way my mother never was if my bf and I were to get married. Now she is gone too and I am left with a mom sized hole in my heart. I feel like she is still watching over me though and I consider her my mother even now. I believe it is her prayers which have brought motherly blessings into my life recently- including the flylady website. Thank you D. I will always love you as if you were my very own mother. If this were a letter it would be drenched in my tears… I miss you doesn’t begin to tell you how I feel 17 months ago

FlyLady’s Eleven Commandments
   1. Keep your sink clean and shiny.
   2. Get dressed every morning, even if you don’t feel like it. Don’t forget to lace up your shoes
   3. Do your morning and before bedtime routine every day.
   4. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked by the computer.
   5. Pick up after yourself. If you get it out, put it away.
   6. Don’t try to do two projects at once. ONE JOB AT A TIME.
   7. Don’t pull out more than you can put back in one hour.
   8. Do something for yourself every day, maybe every morning and night.
   9. Work as fast as you can to get the job done. This will give you more time to play later.
  10. Smile even when you don’t feel like it. It is contagious. Make your mind up to be happy and you will be.
  11. Don’t forget to laugh everyday. Pamper yourself, you deserve it. 17 months ago
