move to Calgary

My amazing boyfriend has asked me to move from my hometown of South Bend, Indiana USA to Calgary. I just came back from a weeks vacation (staying in Calgary, then to Vancouver and on to Whistler where we had a condo awaiting) It was such a dreamy trip! I knew instantly that Calgary was going to be my new home. I know we have a long road ahead of us and it probably won’t be easy to re-located since I don’t qualify for the skilled workers visa. I’m not really sure what my next step should be, but I’ve started the research..and there is a ton of info out there. It’s just a lot to take in!

Due to a delay in my permanent residency visa I’m not moving until the first week of March:(

However, I’m in Calgary visiting my husband until January 12th and it’s so beautiful here! Now I’m even more excited to move… just a month and a half to go!!!

All of my belongings are already in Calgary… my husband (yes, Mr. Wonderful officially belongs to me!!), furniture, wedding gifts, clothes, and hair products. So now it’s finally my turn!!!

At long last, all the hard work has paid off.

Now I just need furniture.

My stuff is now living in Calgary, I have an apartment as of August 1st, now I just need to finish my time here. 8 more weeks.

I leave Vancouver July 7th and I will be in Calgary no later than August 7th. I’m driving the long route.

I am 2 months away from being homeless and 4 months from being in Calgary.

My timeline has changed, but the plan hasn’t.

If I take my Summer vacation as planned, I’ll be in Calgary at the end of August, if I don’t, end of July.

I can’t wait. The amount of time and effort I have put into this move, I just know it’s the right time.

May 7th I leave Vancouver for Calgary. I can’t believe I’m finally doing it.

I’ve lived here for almost a month now… LOVE IT!
