Lornel is going to clean this place
“I love you” has just become words and no meaning from my end. I am having a hard time showing my husband I love him. HOw do I get the hopeless romantic spirit to posess my soul?
How I did it: He is a wonderful, incredible person. I just needed to take the time, to stop taking him for granted, to hug him and say how much I appreciate him every minute of my life. Lots of kisses and cuddles helped too, of course. Just by taking the time to appreciate one another, we feel like we're falling in love for the first time again.

He’s reluctant about Valentine’s Day, which is hurtful, because my father always made us girls feel so special on that day. But I tried to make it cool: we went to a pizzeria and wine bar, then to hear a band play. All Lower East Side venues. It was nice and felt special!
You know, this is an interesting idea! Mr. H was not home yet, and it was Friday night. Damned if I was going to turn on the tv! So I lit some candles, turned down the lights and put on some Ed Ames (Sinatra-like) music! I laid down on the couch and relaxed. It was nice peace from the day, for awhile!
My poor husband! I try to be a good wife, really! The issue: I am NEVER in the mood to be intimate – what’s up with that? We’ve been married for 3 years and it seems like this has been a problem from the beginning. I’m almost positive that I didn’t have this problem before we got married!! I’m only 22 so you’d think this wouldn’t be an issue at all! *Note to self – initiate intimacy more often!!! My husband is not the type to be romantic on his own, he need a little push. I need to do a little more pushing!!! I need ideas people!
I kiss my husband and tell him I love him all the time, but not consistently right before bed. I should do that.
Mr. H said he wanted to make Friday night special, could we order takeout? Sure, but I’m going to the gym after work. Done with gym, honey let’s do dinner out! Yes!!!
Now if I only could’ve stopped bitching about work during the meal!! Alas!!!
While we’ve only been married 2 years, we’ve been together for over 10!! I get tired, and lazy. But I should surprise him more. The other day, I got on the subway and the doors closed as I saw him walk up (he didn’t see me). I got off at the next stop and waited for his train. He seemed pleased.
The real way to do it is with food, I’m sure. Tonite I made cookies, only 1/2 dozen, but ate four while he was gone. Whoops!
You know, I think I’ll light a candle in the bedroom! Whee!
