"Life changing event! I also pursued my photography endeavors. Most important, I made some quality friends."

How I did it: Of course, to travel, you need money to buy a plane ticket. But I did find a bed and breakfast that I paid $25 USD a day. With the money I saved on a hotel, (I'm not gonig to travel 12 hours to stay in a hotel), I was able to travel to Patagonia, Argentina. I used my year-end bonus money. Most of all, is the desire to press the button to buy the ticket. Once you get the approval, there is no turning back.

Lessons & tips: I recommend that you buy your plane ticket 3 months in advance. The next 3 months you research and learn so much about the culture and country you will visit. Meet with others who have lived and have traveled to your destination. You will have a more enriching life.

Resources: Checkout the consulate website. Go to www.meetups.com and join some groups or clubs about travel. Go to your library or bookstore and pickup some travel books on the country you will visit..
