    samantham89 time enjoyed was yay

i think i can take this off the list 17 months ago

i mean, we just got back from a trip to new york and we’re not just going to colorado anymore. we’re planning another trip back this summer when we can afford it, and we want to see more east coast states on the same trip next time. Then the following summer we are planning on going out to the west coast. so… i’m pretty much booked up with trips for the next few years, ,at least as far as my budget is concerned. so i’d say i’ve accomplished something.

Down to Texas 2 years ago

Once again, I am in Texas for a family illness. This time we drove all day (13 hours) with Henry the pug and Cheeto the Pixie-Bob who was ready to come home. It was very tiring and not a good road trip. Maybe the trip back can be a little more relaxed.

Unplanned, but still counts 2 years ago

We are currently in Houston due to family illness. Although we can drive here in about 12 hours from Kansas City, we left late on Wednesday and stopped just south of Oklahoma City for the night. It rained a lot on Thursday and we hit traffic so it took a couple of hours longer than it should to finish the trip. But Miagi enjoyed the ride very much. In another life, we are sure he was a trucker’s cat.

    Oklahoma City 2 years ago

We went to Oklahoma City this weekend to meet my parents at a cat show. It was not the best weekend as it seemed everything went wrong all at once. But it was nice to visit with my parents and get Ivory’s pictures taken. I think our next trip will be to Branson for a weekend.

If I were to do this again, I would not use extremely long roads for hours, I would stop and see things along the way and take the scenic route. Otherwise it gets boring fast.

So I never wrote about any of them but last Christmas I took a road trip to conetticut and that’s what prompted this goal. Since then I’ve been to Rhode Island, and Cape Cod, and Ossipe. All about a week from each other. Then to other places as well. Not out of the New Englandish area but still going through Boston on more than one occasion was cool.

Just Do It! 2 years ago

I have no problem doing it on my own…road trips that is. I’ve driven as close as a day trip to Fredericksburg right outside of Austin for wine tasting and as far away as Cleveland, Miami and New York City because they were places I always wanted to visit and once I had friends there it was all the more perfect.

The Ultimate Road Trip! 3 years ago

This summer, my boyfriend (who lives in San Francisco) and I (living in Boston) decided to move in together. So, I flew to San Francisco, packed up his stuff and the both of us hopped in his car and started driving. First we visited Santa Fe New Mexico, then drove north to Illinois and finally headed east to Boston. The best part was… we got engaged in the process!

This is why road trips are so cool. I hope we take many more :)

    Saturdays outing 3 years ago

Beautiful sunny day! Headed out to nowhere in particular, just turning when the feeling struck. Ended up driving alongside a river on a country road. Stopped, sat on the rocks and dipped my feet in the icy water. Relaxing, refreshing, ahhhhhhhhhh, wonderful!

I had such a fantastic time in July of 2005 taking a road trip with my father for 16 days. I really love being out there, seeing new places. Even daytrips can feed the need.
