My guitar teacher knows them. She said she’d see if she could figure out how to get me to meet them.
I almost died right there.
I’m going to meet Death Cab for Cutie.
I’d do practically anything.

I met Death Cab For Cutie[♥] on the 4th of March 2006 in Glasgow. I queued up outside the Barrowlands all day to meet them. It was so bloody cold.
Anyway, they kept going in and out of the venue because they had an interview with a local radio station, so I got to speak to them a good few times. They also signed my shirt and took pictures with me.
Ben Gibbard accidentally touched my bum, it was great! =D
If you ever get the chance to meet them, do it! They are so lovely.
This is plausable because I’m on the Atlantic Street team, but as soon as an opening happens, I never get there on time.
But let me just say this.
Seeing Ben Gibbard would be like seeing Jesus.
End scene.
if i could actually sit down with ben, nick, chris, and jason i’d ask them how they write their music and what inspires them. i’d also ask about chord progressions and musical phrasing and all sorts of technical musical questions.
then maybe we could discuss the evolution of rock and indie music and i ask who their musical influences were.
i’ve gone through their website, but it’s different when you can actually sit and exchange ideas.
and then i’d ask them if they would let me play a few sets with them and i would rock my guitar OUT…and then maybe get some tips on writing music and improving my guitar skills.
it would be so awesome if they gave a musical clinic on multiple facets of song writing, production, arrangement, etc.
