get a flu shot

The nurse was kind and had a gentle touch, and I didn’t pass out (I hate getting shots). Here’s hoping that it helps to keep me healthy throughout the winter (that’ll determine whether or not it was worth it).

If I’m already feeling under the weather due to quitting my nasty habit/demon addiction, I might as well get this taken care of in the meantime.

There’s a clinic sponsored by the American Lung Association on 11/01/08 at the pharmacy across the street from the Creole Creamery; I’ve asked Sweet Guy to take me (shot first, ice cream after).

Where is the time going? I remember last year’s shot like it was yesterday.

Okay, so I got the free shot at work this morning. Dang, my upper arm is sore. No pushups tonight.

Got my flu shot today, as I do every year (although earlier than usual this time). So now we’ll see if it helps to protect me against all those damned germs…. wry grin

I had my flu shot earlier this evening and so far the only side effect was leaving me very tired/sleepy. But that’s what naps are for.

I’m glad I managed to get this done so early again this year and will certainly try to do so again next year !

I had asked my doc to give me a call when this year’s flu shot would be available. This now came in and I made an appointment for tomorrow.

I’m happy I was again able to arrange for this so early.

I just got my flu shot. It was quick and effortless, and not very expensive.

If I do get flu this year it will be very bad luck.

I’ve made an arrangement to have my flu shot done on Thursday.

At last I found the list of pharmacies that belong to my medical aid’s loyalty programme where I might be able to get my flu shot.

Now it is a matter of phoning to confirm and going.

I don’t have time for flu this year. I’ve had the flu on average ever second year this century, and each time it’s a week in bed and and a month at half-speed.

I’ve never had a flu shot before, so I don’t know where to get one yet.
