celebrate Christmas

I have never been one to buy ‘Christmas clothes’ or go shopping to New York in December, or even spend hundreds of euro on presants, but there is no doubt I have lost my imagination a little over the years. So, as I have no money this year, but a lot to be thankful for, it seems the right time to get back to basics.

Step 1: Go throgh my presant list, and whittle it down. Lots of people won’t want to be giving me junk, and recieving junk in return, no matter now small the junk is…....
Step 2: Agee a budget with friends and family. We are all in a similar situation this year, after all. And a small budget forces us to be creative :-)
Step 3: Make my own cards – a unique one for each person.

That will do for a start!

time alone was a bit of a treat this holiday as we had a lot of people and places packed in, but the time alone we did have was mostly wonderful – and therefore – enjoyable!

Never had a real fire before, but it was lovely and very Christmassy… very enjoyable!

It was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!

Dressing up in silly Xmas themed costumes – enjoyable!

Having proper Christmas dinner with my partners extended family – enjoyable!

There was much present giving, which of course, is enjoyable ;o)

Never-ever have I been this organised at Christmas!

I have actually written Christmas cards – and some of them are enroute to the right places too :o)

All my pressies are bought – and were given more thought than I usually would have – and they are pretty much all wrapped up too.

but usually I just ‘get through’ Xmas rather than celebrate it. There are various reasons as to why this is to do with bad memories about past Christmasses which mean I have negative connotations attached. I also dont usually have people to spend the season with, so hence in the past it has been quite a lonely time.

However, this year is different, so I am determined to celebrate Christmas and set a new precedent for future Christmasses to follow!
