Wow…I think this is the only goal left on my page that I wrote myself.
It’s pretty much self-explanatory, but I agree with the farm guy. Living in a city doesn’t allow much for this sort of thing, sadly.
Plus I think the idea is particularly romantic. Especially if you both lie still and wholly appreciate each other’s presence.

How amazing and generally peaceful it is to just lie… and look at the sky in the dead of night! Staring at the stars makes you think… about life… about things or people close to your heart… about anything that you naturally find significant at that moment in time. As you descend into whatever train of thought you start, your eyes relax, and you stare at the same spot in the sky for longer and longer – this means that more and more stars’ light reach you in that instance, so making them visible. It’s a strange but peculiarly comforting feeling as the stars seem to multiply before you. A somewhat hypnotic, very deep, and extremely relaxing thing to do, that makes you feel more at one with nature (the outdoors/the planet) for whatever reason, during and subsequent to the event.
Don’t miss out – look for a nice clear sky at night, and go for it! :-)

They are so amazing; in my opinion, some of the most beauitful “art” in all of existence. I try to spend a few minutes each night enjoying their splendor from my yard, however, cloudy skies have prevented me the first half of this week, leaving me somewhat downhearted. Tonight I am blessed with a glorious full moon, which is equaly remarkable, so my spirits have lifted. I think lack of stars os one of my biggest problems with cities, it makes me feel like I am not really in the world, but somehow lidded in by opaque cellohane.
...
On a somewhat odder note, the summer before jr. high, they re-did the highway right past my house, and my friends and I would lie down at night in between the yellow stripes and try to find (or make-up) constalations in-between traffic, aprox. 19 minutes per round. The new asphalt felt soft enough, but we soon had to stop b/c the road did not stay clean long. It had a great un-obstructed sky view, also it still felt warm long past sunset.
PLEASE NOTE: This was many years ago and I now realize how unwise it is to lie on a highway at night, even if it has no traffic. I DO NOT SUGGEST THAT ANYONE SHOULD EVER PLAY “HIGHWAY STARGASER”

Its great me and my friend kirsty when we where younger used to go camping with our dads. One nite it was so hot in the tent we went outside and just laid under the stars to cool down. It was great tho coz we were sat trying to remember the names of the constellations. one totaly awsome kid excperience that was!!
Unfortunatley i didnt fall asleep so it dosent count as sleeping under the stars with no tent.
