Be a stickler about handwashing

I have to was my hands before I eat—all those things I touch that other people touch! Gross.

Now he’s the one asking me if I’m going to go to the restroom and wash my hands before eating in a restaurant. And he carries a little container of hand sanitizer for times when handwashing isn’t possible. It may be overkill, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful.

Now there is hand soap at my kitchen sink at home and at work.

Next, to buy some better moisturizer!

There is no excuse for people not washing their hands after using the restroom—unless of course it’s a port-o-potty type situation. Even the thought of that is disgusting!

And please, wash your hands before you handle food or decide to put anything in your mouth…you may have touched something that a non-hand-washer handled after coming out of the restroom!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you don’t mind eating that sort of thing…think about it…and then go wash your hands! :P

And I’m sick.

Coincidence? Or too much negative attention on germs creating an unanticipated side-effect? You be the judge.

where secret spy cameras recorded people leaving restrooms without washing their hands. Then they had people put their washed and unwashed hands in petri dishes, and days later they examined the cultures. Yuk!

I used to think people who were sticklers about handwashing needed medication for their obsessive-compulsive disorder. I guess I was wrong. (My apologies, sticklers!)

Now I want to really suds up—I want to be one of those people who opens the restroom door with a paper towel. I’m not obsessed about the bathroom being especially germy, but it just makes sense to keep my own personal garden of flora and fauna under control a couple of times a day.

At least for this winter. We’ll see if I get sick any less.

(P.S. The TV show said antibacterial soap doesn’t do any better than regular soap. Thank goodness, cause that stuff smells gross!)
