There’s just not any time or room in my life for this goal, and it doesn’t appeal tomeatall anymore.
How I did it: Questions: read the blog www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/transamblues
I wanted to do something big with my life after feeling like getting a Masters degree in Education didn't mean anything. I planned by reading blogs and journals, bought equipment and maps and just went. Riding a bike alone everyday somewhere new is one of the greatest feelings ever.

What should you bring? I mean if you walk across the US you need to bring extra shoes. Should I bring extra tire tubes or am I okay as I am? What streets do you follow? Do you go on turnpikes or do you stick to the local areas? Also, how long did it take you? Answers to these questions would be MUCH appreciated.
I mean, how amazing would this be? I haven’t even driven across country, let alone biking it! I think I could do it. It would be an amazing experience, and an amazing accomplishment. Why the heck not?
i want to ride from florida to california and raise money and awareness for a good cause. i am planning this for next summer.

amazing experience…it made me realize that my life is just part of a bigger picture so I should get over myself and figure out how I can contribute to the world as a whole
...and I’m just crazy enough to do it. I’ve already started preliminary research, and it’s a fact, I will do this within the next year or two. It will take about 3 months or less, but with my newly aquired camping skills – fresh off hiking the AT – I can do this.

My husband and I want to bike across the country on a tandem bike. We are quite a ways off from this goal, but really want to make it happen. I’ve found some day trips that start out at 20 miles and others for a weekend that are almost 200. Once we’ve had some fun with the smaller stuff, we’ll plan our cross country trip.
