if you are Scottish then Robert Burns might legitimately be a source of national pride.
I heard someone on the radio tonight say that his poetry is really about empathy. The sangha are having a Buddhist Burns night tonight, and although I have been out to the pub with my brother this was unconnected with Burns. However I am now watching/listening to a TV programme on Burns as I enjoy a cup of green tea.
Seamus Heaney has written a poem in celebration of Burns Heaney’s tribute to the Scottish bard.
I am at an age where hearing a tune associated with Burns can bring a tear to my eye, I hate to admit.
Gi’e me a spark o’ Nature’s fire that’s a’ the learning I desire.

possibly Scottish hackers, although my sympathy for Garry McGovern is tested by all the talk of the uncovering of evidence in support of various conspiracy theories.
In his interview with the BBC he also claimed that “The Disclosure Project” says there is “extra-terrestrial in origin and [they’ve] captured spacecraft and reverse engineered it.” He also claimed to have downloaded a low-resolution image of “something not man-made” and “cigar shaped” floating above the northern hemisphere. He said that unfortunately he did not manage to get a screenshot or recording of the image because he was “bedazzled” to see the image, could not remember the capture function in the software RemotelyAnywhere, and that he was “cut off” from his connection.
Shame that. Bedazzled! begorrah:)

Caught the last half of a program on Radio Scotland on Byron and his involvement on the Greek side in the Greek War of Independence. Very interesting. Must read up on Byron.
