visit the pyramids

Although, I literally live near the pyramids, and by near, I mean I pass by them on the way to work..:)
But, I only actually went there 2 times, or three, when I was very young. I wish I could go now, once more.
They seem soo great, such an enormous building that survived everything. I’ll try hard to go, in the fall, after all that heat is over.

Before I die, I have always wanted to do this. I am an architect, and in my opinion the pyramids are some of the oldest and most mind blowing examples of architecture. This would be a vacation to talk about for the rest of your life. Everyone goes to Hawaii or Cancun, or even Europe and all of that. But it just seems way cool and exotic to go ride a camel and watch someone charm a snake. Cairo would be awesome in its own right, and then to see the sphinx and the pyramids just a short distance away in Giza!!! Everyone else just watches it on Discovery Channel, but I want to BE there!

I’d really like to do this. All that history in one place! They must be pretty awe inspiring.

so last night I bought a ticket from Kathmandu to New Dehli to Cairo to NY, with a two day layover in Cairo, so maybe that’s enough time to see the pyramids.
