get paid to act

So, at least I’m kicking it as far as getting cast as Frau Schmidt in the Sound of Music. I think it will be fun, plus I really need me some theatre!

So I’m working full time with a local theater company. Being one of the highest paid actresses in a small town is sort of like being the best physician in kindergarten, but I’m doing what I love and it’s paying the bills.
I am absolutely not complaining.

Got the check for my first professional show yesterday!!!

been sick. No auditions = no part = no pay. Pretty simple.

I have put on my calendar 5 auditions a month. This way I’ll at least be honing my skills. I want to work towards this in an organized way. Plus, auditions are more fun if you’re not “dying” to get the role. I’m also going to take a few acting buddies with to network on the craft.
