This was amazing! I was really excited to find this recipe, because I love coffee but rarely drink it anymore for health reasons. The gravy doesn’t taste like coffee, but the addition of coffee really enhances the flavor (I’d be more descriptive if I could, but I’m bad at describing food).
I made this on Monday, and I wish I’d taken a photo, but here is the link to the wonderful recipe:

I used a round roast instead of a chuck roast, which may have affected the cooking time a little – the thermometer popped up after only an hour, and the recipe said 3-5 hours. I almost panicked and took it out, thinking it would dry out and burn in there, but I remembered some questionable advice an ex gave me: never trust my instincts. My instincts are always wrong. This sounds mean, but has actually been proven true on several occasions. So I forced myself to leave it in for a little under 3 hours, and it turned out great! It was way more tender than it had been after only an hour of roasting (I know because I cut some off the side early on, bewildered that the thermometer popped up, and it was a little tough at that point).
I’m very happy with how it turned out! I’d never made roast beef before; I was a vegetarian until this past year. I’d definitely make this again.

This was SOOOO good. I marinated boneless skinless chicken breast overnight in OJ, orange marmalade, honey, garlic, soy sauce, and dehydrated onions.

we made these for Super Bowl Sunday, and they were DELISH! This was not a “new” recipe, but one that my husband usually makes. I was really lazy this week, so this was about as new as I got. I will make something really new next week.

This one came out good, and it was SO simple. I will definitely make this one again.

This one came out very tender, but a bit too salty. Next time I will omit the salt completely, since it has soy sauce added also.

I made pot roast. I know this sounds like an easy thing to do,but I wanted to make a good pot roast, slow cooked all day, not in the crockpot, with seasoning that did not come out of a packet. It came out REALLY good.

My husband has made this before, but that didn’t count because it wasn’t ME that made it, I just ate it. I made it for the first time, and it came out delish! I usually just throw things in the slow cooker along with the seasoning package, but the homemade, home seasoned one comes out WAY better.

Since I have actually been trying 5 or 6 new recipes a week, I am checking this one off.

Yesterday I made a white bean and leek soup. I really liked it. I have never used a leek before, or even knew what it was. I thought they were a type of lettuce but they are like a giant green onion, only milder. I also tried a parchment chicken recipe. It had plum tomatoes ,rosemary, arugala and olive oil. It was good but it would have been a lot better with garlic.

Cold Poached Turkey with Curry Sauce – turned out pretty good. A great summer dish. My husband even liked it and I learned to make chutney on the side.
