Went to Uncle Shuck's corn maze today. 12 months ago

It was a beautiful day in the mountains, we used our brains, and we had a great time. Even our teenagers enjoyed it. at $8.00/ea, it was a great deal and made a fabulous day.

It is time. 12 months ago

I’ve spent enough Octobers in the midwest that I really should have done this by now.

Uncle Shuck’s corn maze is supposed to be one of the best in the country, and it’s only about an hour’s drive from here in the pretty Georgia mountains. Looking forward to this.

I live within 10 miles of an awesome one – every year kept saying I wanted to go but never made it happen til my son joined cub scouts and his troop went lol – but then the troop didn’t go cuz of possible thunderstorms – but we did – was awesome great pattern, scary music (near hallowen) and windy enough to make the corn rustle (children of the corn always comes to mind)
highly recommended for anyone needing a mini adventure!

I went to the Night Maze at the Kelley’s Farm. It was awesome. We were lost and then found so many times as we made our way through the giant Daniel Boone/Kentucky maze with flashlights. This should be a yearly tradition.

It was so effing scary I nearly cried. If you don’t like being terrified then DO NOT GO. It was all fun and games until the first chainsaw man came leaping out at me.

This year I want to take my girls to the big corn maze that is not far from our city. The last time we went it was good that the hubby joined us or I think we might still be in there. lol If I don’t have landmarks, I cannot navigate worth a hill of beans. So if we go this year, I hope the hubby can come along and enjoy the fun.

This year the maze is in memory of Chris LeDoux and is shaped in his likeness. It is huge and it should be an adventure!

that people make elaborate designs in their fields sometimes (and no, I don’t mean crop circles) designed to be seen from the air? I found pics online that were amazing. Cornfields and rice paddies are what I saw, but I’m sure there’s more out there. Who are the designs for – aliens, God, random pilots? I love it that people do this kind of “unneccesary” stuff. I saw a pic recently of a little sweater someone knitted to put on an apple. An APPLE. So cute, so pointless. Go team human.

I have to say though, if I hadn’t of had my hubby with me, I would still be in there…. lol

My sense of direction is really pitiful and although we had a map of the maze, I could have sworn we were in a different part of the maze than where my hubby said we were. Good thing he doesn’t actually need to ask for directions. hehehe

It was so much fun taking the kids and I would definitely do this again!
