Finish sewing my curtains

This is absolutely the most wonderful arts and craft kind of thing I’ve ever done. I now have the curtains I’ve always wanted and they’re the exact right color and they’re dark enough for my husband to sleep during the day. The trick is commitment. You just have to make time on a day off and do it.

After 16 months (including taking a year off), they’re all finally done.

My husband hung up my new curtain rods yesterday, so now I have no excuse. I HAVE to hem the bottoms of my curtains! I also need to put together the faux Roman-shade curtains for my living room, for which I’ve cut all the pieces. I hung the top pieces over the existing curtain rods, just to see what it’d look like, and I never got past that point. Time to break out the sewing machine!!

Maybe not for long; I met someone who may be able to give me pointers and get me going on the draperies. We’ll see.

2 weekends ago… over the window in the back door.

now I can run around naked without the neighbors seeing me (the drawbacks of living in the city on stamp size property!)

and I’m thoroughly cooped (sp?) up.

or meet someone that shares this interest and wants to help.

I started about one year ago. I completed 2 out of 5 roman shades. The 3rd is started… and calling

The draperies… I have no clue how to begin… yet
